What is a Columbarium?

A columbarium is a respectful place to inurn cremains (ashes) of loved ones in perpetuity. The columbarium at All Saints Catholic Church consists of modestly sized granite structures housing niches in which cremains are permanently and securely placed.

Where is the Columbarium Located?

The columbarium is located within a securely gated courtyard on the east end of the church.

After a Funeral Rite, family and friends can proceed to the Columbarium for immediate inurnment of their loved one in a way that is solemn, holy, and powerful.

What is the Cost & Size of a Niche?

There are two sizes available.

12x12x12 $1,900

12x24x12 $2,200

Depending on the size of the urn (a vase like receptacle or vessel containing the cremated remains) 1 or 2 urns can be placed in the 12x12x12 niche.

The larger niche will easily accommodate 2 or more urns, again depending upon the size of the urns.

There is a one-time $99.00 fee for engraving the name(s) and dates on the niche face plate. Payment and engraving specifics are done directly with Mahoney Memorials 208-746-1033. This is the only cost separate from the purchase of the niche.

More intricate personal designs are available. Fee determined by designer with client at the time of order.

Will Memorial Pavers be Available?

Yes. The perimeter of the columbarium area will consist of Memorial Pavers. The name of a deceased loved one etched on a Memorial Paver makes possible a permanent means to honor his or her life. Each paver will be available for $100.

A Special Note to Families Currently Honoring Cremated Remains in Their Homes

The Roman Catholic Church gives counsel that cremains be housed in a permanent resting place, such as what a columbarium can provide.

For generations to come, the securely inurned cremains serve as a sacred place of rest, prayer, faith, and hope in the resurrection.
