If you know or believe that you or anyone you know may be a victim of sexual misconduct or grooming by anyone in the Diocese of Boise, please contact Veronica Childers, Safe Environment Coordinator for the Diocese of Boise, at vchilders@rcdb.org or on her direct line at (208) 350-7556 or direct fax at (208) 489-7475.

If you will be working around children in any paid or volunteer capacity in the Diocese of Boise, you must complete Safe Environment training. Register by going to cmgconnect.org (click here), selecting “Boise” as your Diocese, and creating an account. In normal times, everyone working with children must complete a face-to-face training. However, given the current situation, watching the videos and answering the questions listed under “Safe Environment RENEWAL TRAINING” will suffice for initial training: you can complete face-to-face training as your renewal training the following year.

Even for those not working directly with children, the renewal training videos and optional training videos at cmgconnect.org (click here) can be very helpful in identifying some of the signs of grooming. Our whole community should stay vigilant and participate in creating a safe environment. For more information about keeping our children safe, you can look through this informative slide show (click here) in both English and Spanish. For more information, you can visit the website of our Diocese’s Office of Child, Youth, and Adult Protection (click here).
